When we become too glib in prayer we are surely talking to ourselves.

I believe the problem is we have tried to substitute praying rather than obeying and it just doesn't work.

When Adam sinned it was not he that cried "Where are you  God" It was God who cried "Where are you Adam"

Those who seek the deeper Christian life and those who want the riches that are found in Jesus Christ the lord, seek no place, no wealth, no thing, Only Christ

Complacency is the foe of all spiritual growth.

Any faith that must be supplied by the evidence of the senses is not real faith.

Faith is knowing, Love is experience

Secularism and materialism and the intrusive presence of things have put out the light in our soul and turned us into a generation of Zombies. 

The bible was never meant to replace God, rather it was meant to lead us to the heart of God. Too many stop with the text and do not go on to experience the presence of God.

If we understand that everything happening to us is to make us more Christ like. It will solve a great deal of anxiety in our lives.

The bible is the inevitable outcome of Gods continuous speech, it is the infallible declaration of his mind.

Jesus is not one of many ways to approach God nor is he the best of several ways. He is the only way.

Selfishness is never so exquisitely expressed as when it is  on its knees. Self turns what would otherwise be a pure and powerful prayer into a weak and ineffective one. 

Without doubt the mightiest thought the mind can entertain is the thought of God. 

As the excellence of steel is strength and the excellence of art is beauty so the excellence of man is moral character.

I am not afraid of the devil, the devil can handle me but he cannot handle the one to whom i am united, he cannot handle the one who's nature is in my nature.

An infinite God can give all of himself to each of his children He does not distribute himself that each may have a part but to each one he gives all of himself as fully as if there were no others.

Gratitude is an offering precious in the sight of God and it is one that even the poorest of us can make and be not poorer but richer for having made it.

The vague and tenuous hope that God is too kind to punish the ungodly has become a deadly opiate for the consciences of millions.

If Christians do not  enjoy the wine of the spirit they will turn to the wine of the flesh. Christ died for our hearts and the holy spirit wants to come and satisfy them.

Too often we give God the tired remnant of our time. If Christ had given us only the tired remnant of his time then we would be on our way to the darkness that knows no morning.
